This course trains partipants to:
- promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies
- give high-quality chest compression for adults, children, & infants
- recognize the need for early use of an AED and how to properly administer shocks
- rescue breathing techniques in adults and pediatrics
- importance and effectiveness of team members during multi-rescuer CPR
- relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
- how to stop bleeding and bandage wounds
- how to treat 2nd & 3rd degree burns
- the proper method for splinting broken bones
- how to recognize and care for victims expereincing shock
- how to recognize other behaviors that indicate a victim needs emergency medical treatment
CPR + First Aid Certification for those with
Limited or No Medical Training
It is intended for persons who do not work in the healthcare field, but are occupationally required or desire to have CPR knowledge and skills for victims of all ages
This Basic CPR and AED course was developed to help students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond.
It is also designed to give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrives.
